Super Cross Country Day 2 - Part 2: IFR to Chicago - Ice Storm, FLAPS ICING Warning on Final
On the 2nd day of this super cross country series of flights in February 2019, after dropping off my co-worker in Nashville, I continued on to Chicago. With an ice storm fast approaching and the day coming to an end, I had to be and going as soon as possible.
Flying through a temperature "inversion" is not fun, incredible drop in temperature from 4,000 feet to 2,500 feet.
And of course as always, there is a surprise and a lesson to learn.
Enjoy!
